Suzuki-based String Group lessons meet six times per term
Group lessons are a vital part of each student's development. A student is assigned to a specific group by the private lesson teacher. Each group focuses on Repertoire, Technique and most importantly- Review. By playing together students learn from each other and refine their sense of rhythm and intonation.
STRING GROUPS 2011-2012
dates throughout the year:
Term I: 9/24, 10/1, 10/8, 10/15, 12/29, Play-In on 11/5 (no group meeting on 10/22 for MEA)
Term II: 11/12, 11/19, 12/3, 12/10, Play-In on 12/17 (Class meets for one hour on 12/3, 12/10)
Term III: 1/21, 1/28, 2/4, 2/11, 2/18, String Fest on 2/25
Term IV: 4/14, 4/21, 4/28, 5/5, 5/12, Play-In on 5/19
Classes will meet on Saturday mornings for 45 minutes, unless specified. Class times will be 9:30, 10:30, and 11:30. Private teachers make assignments to the appropriate group class. Students may join at any time throughout the year.
