Observe a master class with renowned cellist Jeffrey Solow.

Sundin Music Hall • Hamline University

 

Jeffrey Solow has been called one of the best American cellists. He performs

regularly throughout the world, including appearances with the Los Angeles

Philharmonic, the Japan Philharmonic, the Seattle Symphony, and the American

symphony. He is a frequent guest artist at national and international music

festivals, and two of his many recordings were nominated for Grammy Awards.

This is your opportunity to observe as Solow conducts a master class

with five local cellists.

About Jeffrey Solow and the adjudicators:

JEFFREY SOLOW has been called one of the best American cellists. He performs regularly throughout the world, including appearances with the Los Angeles Philharmonic, the Japan Philharmonic, the Seattle Symphony, the Milwaukee Symphony, the Los Angeles Chamber Orchestra, and the American Symphony. He is a frequent guest artist at national and international music festivals, and two of his many recordings were nominated for Grammy Awards. 

TANYA REMENIKOVA is a professor and chamber music coach at the University of Minnesota. Her 40-year international performing career has included the Israel Philharmonic, the Jerusalem Symphony, the Minnesota Orchestra, and Orchestre Nationale de Belgique. 

LYNDA BRADLEY VACCO conducts the Bethel University Orchestra and performs as a violist in numerous Twin Cities performing ensembles, including VocalEssence, Minnesota Dance Theater, and the Minnesota Opera. 

YALI YOU is a professor of music at Hamline University where she also conducts the Hamline University Orchestra. Dr. You has performed throughout the United States with the Washington D.C. Chamber Ensemble, the Aspen Music Festival, and the World Cello Congress among others.
